Our client, a remarkable independent school, is looking to appoint an extremely well organised HR Recruitment Administrator to support School’s HR Manager. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a school setting.


  • To provide timely and efficient HR support to HR Manager with focus on recruitment processes, HR records management, other HR administration and employment documentation.

  • Maintain employee personal files ensuring confidence and compliance

  • Deal with day to day enquiries efficiently

  • Process information on HR database and liaise with relevant Departments regarding new starters and leavers

  • Maintain School’s Single Central Register of employees

  • Efficiently run recruitment process for teaching and non-teaching staff

  • Prepare employment contracts for check by HR Manager

  • Carry out employees screening checks

  • Deal with all other HR administrative tasks

Person Specification:

  • High Professional Standards

  • Previous experience and understanding or recruitment and selection administration and other generalist HR processes

  • A good understanding of the principles of Safer Recruitment and Equality and Diversity as relevant to the needs of the post

  • Experienced in prioritising varied and conflicting work demands

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • High degree of numeracy and the ability to perform calculations effectively

  • Computer literate (able to produce reports in Microsoft Excel and able to use HR Database)

  • Discreet, respecting confidentiality, diplomatic, patient, non-judgmental


  • GCSE Math’s and English or equivalent

  • Educated to A level or equivalent

  • Certificate in HR Practice (or can demonstrate the equivalent HR knowledge)

  • CIPD qualification (preferred)
