We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our friendly Operations team. This role is about relationships. Building strong effective partnerships with our existing customers and developing purposeful working relationships with new clients. This role will create income generation in all areas of the business including:

  • IT Managed Services
  • IT Infrastructure Projects
  • Cloud Services
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Cyber Security Consultancy
  • Software Development
  • IT Training

This role will suit a natural communicator who thrives in a busy role and is happy to use their own initiative. Reporting to the Director of Operations & HR, you will be responsible for:

  • Account Management of existing customers - including regular site visits and discussions on how we can proactively support their IT Infrastructure
  • Acting as a first point of contact for all new Inbound Sales enquiries
  • Onboarding new customers ensuring the highest levels of customer service at all times
  • Generating a sales opportunity pipeline to achieve agreed sales targets for all areas of the business and participating in all initial sales meetings.
  • Working closely with internal and external marketing teams to support marketing campaigns and events
  • Ensuring presence in local market through effective networking and attendance at workshops, sector forums, events and trade shows

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience of developing strong customer relationships with new and existing customers
  • Demonstratable experience of building and maintaining an effective sales pipeline - using creative methods to achieve sales targets
  • Previous experience within an IT Company, or an interest in IT, would be advantageous but not essential - full product training will be given
  • Ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills

Skills Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for providing exceptional customer service - leading by example and acting as internal champion for customer service
  • A confident telephone manner is essential
  • Great planning, organisation and time management skills - the ability to multi task is crucial
  • Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work without constant supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external partners and internal teams
  • Self-motivation with the experience to think creatively
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to quickly understand our brand, and act as a Brand Ambassador at all times
  • A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role. Travel will be required to customer sites across South Wales & the West
