A well-established high technology machine provider is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their team to build and manage a small team of service engineers. The majority of the work will be in the UK and Ireland with occasional worldwide travel.
As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the service team as well as being on the road to complete routine services and calibrations yourself. You will need to be highly organised, flexible to travel and have experience of been a manager, supervisor or team leader within an engineering environment.
This a fantastic opportunity and the right candidate will:
· Have an electrical/ electronic bias
· Experience working as a field service engineer completing routine services and calibrations
· Experience of resolving breakdowns in a timely manner
· Complete installs and commissioning
· Ensure all paper work is completed
· Experience of highly-complex machine tool industry
· Experience of 5-axis machine tools
· Ability to create modifications to CNC or PLC software

You can expect a salary of £45k to £50k depending on experience, along with a company car/car allowance and bonus scheme. Other benefits are negotiable depending on the individual needs.
This will be an office based role when not completing service. The ideal candidate will be based in and around Derby, Burton upon Trent, Nottingham, Loughborough, Chesterfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
