Finance Assistant (Commercial)

Location: Blackburn

Salary: £16,835 p/annum

Permanent | 37 hours /week

Closing Dates: Tuesday 26 February 2019

Interview Dates: Held week commencing 5th March in Blackburn

The Role

Together Housing is committed to having first rate teams and we have an opening for a new assistant to join our finance team. We are looking for a new finance assistant to join the team based out of Blackburn, Lancashire. Our finance team is a multi-faceted, fast paced and vibrant place to work, and you will be assisting in providing accurate & timely data. This could include management accounts information, financial accounts, KPI’s and performance analysis data.

You will need to assist in completing the companies reconciliations for the teams you have responsibility for, on a regular and timely basis. This will also include bank reconciliations.

You will be assisting in supporting schedules are part of external audits, and assist in providing any information external auditors may require.

You reconciliations will include; key income & expenditure, balance sheet accounts, bank accounts for the teams of which you are responsible.

About You

In order to be successful as a Finance Assistant, based in Blackburn, Lancashire you would require the following key skills, knowledge & experience:

  • You will need to have proven experience of working in a finance / accounts based environment
  • You will need experience of using a nominal ledger in your normal work life
  • You will have to demonstrate the ability to operate a computerised financial accounting system
  • Be able to demonstrate continuous development as well
