This post creates an ideal opportunity to join a friendly, professional Maxillofacial Team in Scotland’s Granite City.

NHS Grampian is seeking to recruit a DCT2 in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Successful applicants will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the main North East of Scotland’s Teaching Hospital. The Department provides a comprehensive Maxillofacial Surgery service to Grampian, Orkney and Shetland NHS Boards.

You will need to be fully registered with the General Dental Council, and have suitable experience and qualifications for the post. The post is offered on a 1WTE basis (40 hours per week).

The main duties of the post include participation in the work of the Maxillofacial Unit in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This will involve all aspects of OMFS at DCT level, including ward management, attending consultant clinics and operating lists.

The North East of Scotland is a delightful place to live, with easy access to the Coast, to Royal Deeside and to the Highlands.

The area offers opportunities for many outdoor pursuits including hill walking, mountain biking and mountaineering. Established air, rail and sea links provide easy access for travel throughout the UK and beyond; for example there are more than 15 flights daily each way between Aberdeen and London

Aberdeen, the “oil capital of Europe” is a cosmopolitan city with a variety of good bars and restaurants as well as several shopping centres’. There are active theatre, concert hall and art gallery programmes.
