Job Description:
Working as part of a highly motivated engineering team you will have an in-depth knowledge of electronic manufacturing technology including bespoke testing, ABB robots, automated testing/packing equipment and other innovative processes. As well as leading the shift team you will also be responsible for supporting shift technicians in solving technical issues and providing improvement solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
The workload and work content will be varied and will include:
• Providing test and automated equipment product knowledge
• Responsibilities for shift team activities and shift handover communication
• Detailed product and equipment investigation/fault finding
• Successfully introducing new processes and machinery to the factory to improve machine reliability and line efficiencies
• Risk assessment scheduling and implementation
• Control of spare part ordering and stock control
• Preventive maintenance scheduling and completion
• Calibration activities
• Liaising with production to investigate quality and technical issues
• Providing key equipment performance data to management and customers

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
• In-depth knowledge of electronic manufacturing
• Qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Ability to make engineering and technical change decisions to improve quality and efficiency
• Excellent knowledge of electronics, electrical systems and technology in general
• Ability to read/understand programming languages
• Good mechanical aptitude and aptitude for complex/technical operations
• PLC programming knowledge would be beneficial
