Global technology company specialising in Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions has a high profile role available for an experienced manager of Agile, C# software development teams. Expertise with Microsoft Technology Stack, strong C# development background, TDD expertise and ability to manage and mentor an on shore team and work collaboratively with offshore developers is essential. Payroll or HR solutions familiarity might be an advantage. A generous rewards package of up to £75k base plus bonus and very good benefits is on offer for an enthusiastic software development expert with management expertise. Peterborough based.

  • proven ability to mentor and manage software developers

  • strong C# development background
  • clear knowledge of S.O.L.I.D principles
  • existing knowledge of Test Driven Development principles (TDD) and passion to drive this forward in the business
  • Agile development background

Its a plus if you have experience in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases, exposure to IoC and DI, and either a mathematical/analytical background or payroll knowledge. Also able to communicate requirements concisely such as in Sharepoint or Wiki.

You will manage a team working in the Microsoft Stack, developing a UK payroll engine with REST interfaces with calls to / from existing products to call, allowing generation of payroll artefacts. Design and develop quality software that is secure, scalable and standards compliant. Liaise with engineering team to support from R&D environment to production. Based Peterborough, £60-£75k depending on experience, 10% on target bonus, above average benefits and holidays. Occasional travel.
