Spot on Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-known manufacturer in the Sheffield area for a Step-Up CNC Team Leader on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for an individual who has the ability to step up as and when required in order to achieve production output.

The duties of this role are varied and the ability to set up and run production lines is a pre requisite. The role will also involve the following:-

* Supervision of Team members in the absence of a Team Leader.

* Ability to carry out general Shop Floor duties whilst training and mentoring team members.

* Set up and run the production line without any support.

* Perform regular quality checks and machine inspections reporting machine, procedure or performance faults.

* Able to read engineering drawings.

* Understanding the products and ensuring that customer’s requirements are met by achieving production targets.

* Work to company procedures and policies and standards.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes or skills:-

* Background within a manufacturing/engineering environment.

* Working Knowledge of Siemens and Fanuc Controls.

* Highly experienced in working under own initiative, demonstrating an ability to set and meet personal targets, combined with the flexibility to adjust to workload priorities to take account of new deadlines.

* Interpersonal and communication skills.

* Able to read engineering drawings; ability to read, understand, organise and identify tools and equipment and their correct usage from drawings/layouts.

* Ability to organise and prioritise workload, maintain confidentiality, and produce/process documents accurately.

* IT knowledge, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP (desirable)

* A flexible approach to work, along with the ability to work as part of a team.

Our client is offering a market leading salary of £22,500 with quarterly performance bonuses and an annual attendance bonus, a pay grading system in place that gives the candidate an opportunity to enhance their learning and development and most importantly the opportunity to be a part of a growing manufacturer who are going from strength to strength within the market. This role will work on a 3 shift system 5 days out of 7 with a 3 week rota working 37.5 hours per week
