This role is for experienced trainers or skills coaches who have delivered and supported learners through Commercial or Government funded learning programmes. As well as managing and overseeing your own team of Skills Coaches, you’ll be handling your own caseload of learners. The successful candidate will hold excellent time management skills, as the ability to prioritise tasks with authority is integral.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for someone with experience of government funded or commercial training.

The role is home-based, although occasional office attendance will be required. You will be travelling in the field to visit your learners as you progress them through their apprenticeship courses. You will also be accompanying your group of Skills Coaches in the field in order to ensure they are being given the support they need. Your time will be divided between learners and assessors, as you will work to ensure that everything is being delivered to the highest possible standard. Within the role, you will be responsible for:

- Progressing your caseload of learners, ensuring they have a portfolio of work ready to complete their EPA’s
- Supporting and developing assessors in the field
- Developing course material as and when required
- Escalating challenges to C-level decision makers
- Monitoring off-the-job learning amongst your caseload
- Completing your own administrative responsibilities in accordance with Ofsted expectations, as well as ensuring the skills coaches you manage are doing the same

The Ideal Candidate:

- Occupational competency in sales
- A resilient and adaptable individual
- Direct experience training learners in Team Leadership, Sales, Operational Management and/or IT Technical Sales.
- Familiarity with coaching Functional Skills
- Experience in overseeing or managing a team in a professional capacity
- Excellent time management abilities
- Ability to be productive whilst working autonomously
- At least 2 years’ experience within government funded training
- Proven history of taking learners through the EPA, either directly or indirectly
- High rate of both retention and completion within previous training roles
