Salary: Competitive - DOE

Our client is looking for an Insight Manager to support the Category Manager and work closely with the Sales & Marketing Teams, to ultimately deliver insight from data evaluation. The ultimate goal is to shape and report findings back in a clear way to help internal teams to deliver in their roles with the focus on customers

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Proactively unearth the right data and trends from across data sources and break them down into into clear, tangible and timely insight.

2. Ensure that all data is accurate and effective, with the focus on delivering to high standards and expectations.

3. Identification of risks and opportunities – From within the validated weekly & monthly data, the appropriate stakeholders need to be brought up to speed through clear analysis & presentation of the findings.

4. The successful candidate will support the Category Manager in the preparation of category presentations for key retail & channel customers by providing timely, accurate and validated insight.

5. Creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a suite of analysis tools:

* Category Pack External & Internal Numbers

* Quarterly Category Business Update (alongside the Category Manager)

* ROS Tracker/EPOS Cube/Scorecards

* Distribution matrix, range review tracking plus additional ad hoc projects.

Our client is looking for an exceptional candidate to join their award-winning team. In order to ensure that they find the right fit, we are focussing our search with the following key skills and experience in mind:

* A proven track record of influencing business plans through the manipulation of data

* Candidates should be familiar & highly competent with both market EPOS data software –as well as a customer metric providers.

* Experience of working in an FMCG environment is essential for this role

* You must be extremely numerate with a natural ability and interest of identifying patterns and trends in numbers

* Knowledge of FMCG multiples, either on the retail or supplier-side

* Excellent presentation and communication skills – you will be presenting to both stakeholders, senior management, so confidence in this area is essential.

* An inquisitive, analytical brain with a can-do attitude

* Capable of managing data from multiple sources

* Confident, assertive, creative & flexible with a high level of attention to detail

A degree qualification would be ideal but not essential, if other key strengths and experiences are met.
