I am currently searching for supportive, passionate Teaching Assistants based in the Nottinghamshire area (NG22) to Join a wonderful Special Educational Needs School.

Teaching Assistants are wonderful additions to the education sector. The role entails supporting students throughout their time at school to achieve their full potential. You will assist the class Teacher provide effective differentiation based on the needs of the children and support students within the community on excursions. Day to day you would attend any lessons with specific students providing effective support whilst ensuring all students can access the curriculum.

This wonderful Special Educational Needs School was rated 'Outstanding' and supports students with ASC, SEMH and ADHD aged 9-17 years old.

A previous student posted "Thank you for helping me be the best I could be. Thank you for pushing me and keeping me safe. Thank you for listening to me. I've completely changed thanks to you guys. I am very grateful for everything everyone has done for me. I am going to miss this place. Thank you so much."

An ideal candidate would have;

  • An empathetic and calm nature
  • Effective communication skills
  • The ability to identify effective support mechanisms for students
  • GCSE Maths and English minimum of A-C grade
  • Experience with children
  • A Passionate personality
  • The ability to inspire others
  • SEND
  • Resilience
  • Experience working with vulnerable children or adults
  • Driving License
  • Have a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for this
  • Personal experience of supporting others with Special Educational Needs
