Technical Sales Engineer/Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

Selling engineering solutions into various manufacturing sectors,
Account Management to both engineers and operational management
Contribute to the sales strategy to achieve significant levels of growth
Delivering incremental profitable sales
Identify and exploit opportunities for growth through innovation
Strong influencer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop networks with Customers, Suppliers, Engineers, to ensure the business consistently provides a high/quality service which exceeds Customer requirements
Experienced in sales activities – engineering/technical sales specialism, with an engineering background
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and manufacturing automation is desirable.
Self-driven to achieve challenging targets – ability to quickly identify and exploit sales growth opportunities
Able to inter-face with the Customer and be credible at a senior level, backed up by an existing network of senior level contacts
Manufacturing experience – understands the manufacturing process and has experience to be able to discuss engineering and design issues credibly with the client
Be able to demonstrate an innovative approach to developing growth

Commercial Skills:
Financially literate and ability to take responsibility for profitability of new business
Understanding /experience of the sales process
Ability to put together effective propositions
Understand and discuss contractual issues

Qualifications

Minimum of a Degree in Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing
An interest in and understanding of Manufacturing, Automation and Industrial Engineering
Relationship builder - understands how to network an organisation
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Demonstrates a commitment to self-development
Resilience – able to overcome obstacles and meet challenging targets

Must hold a valid UK Driving License and be available to travel as required.
