We currently have a vacancy for a Temporary Financial Accountant to provide support to our Client’s Financial Services Team at their head office in Inverness for a period of 6 months approx.

Main responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation of annual accounts

* Prepare lead schedules in support of annual accounts

* Reconciliation of ledger accounts and reports

* Assist with the preparation of subsidiary and joint venture annual accounts

* Prepare various capital reports as directed by Capital and Resources Planning Manager

* Liaison with auditors

* Ensuring appropriate compliance with all aspects of governance, including risk management and audit and compliance requirements

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:

* Qualified accountant or equivalent

* 3 years relevant accountancy experience

* Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workload

* Experience of working as part of a team but also on own initiative

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

* A high standard of IT literacy

* Experience of public sector accounting (desirable)

* Non-current asset and investment accounting (desirable)
