This is an exciting Quality Control opportunity because it offers excellent growth and career progression, to join a Biotech that is leading the way in the development of T Cell Therapies. They already have 3 products at phase I and II clinical trials for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours. With others at different stages of R&D to cross the translational gap as they seek to further explore their technology that enables them to engineer highly active and targeted T – Cells to destroy the defences of cancer cells. As their manufacturing operations increase they need to recruit QC Scientists with experience of working in GMP regulated environments.

The Company
A pioneering and ambitious Biopharmaceutical company who develop next-generation, programmed T-cell therapies to treat cancer. The organisation has existed for 4 years and is very well funded, with a clear strategy and expansion plan for the next 3 years and beyond. Scientifically, the company has extremely exciting technologies, using a broad suite of proprietary and modular T-cell programming to engineer precisely targeted, controlled and highly active T cells. Commercially, they have a pipeline of product candidates in development (for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours) and is increasing its GMP production capacity. Based in a state-of-the-art facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, you will join a team that is doing something genuinely meaningful.

The Role
This is a broad role designed to give you the chance to take on a wide range of responsibilities in addition to the testing of raw material, in process and finished products for batch release. Alongside the day to day testing you will support any OOS or deviations investigations to identify the root cause and implement any CAPA’s by working with senior management and quality. In their aseptic laboratories they use flow cytometry, HPLC, ELISA and other techniques on which you can be trained.

In addition, you will be helping to mentor more junior scientists in their day to day work and help develop their careers. You will have the chance to support method development and management to help develop your career. They have a strong career development programme which you give you the training and opportunities to develop your career as they grow.

Experience
For this opportunity, you will need to have experience of working in Quality Control in an aseptic or sterile GMP environment HPLC, or flow cytometry or cell culture experience You will need to have experience of conducting in process, raw material and finished product analysis in the laboratory. You will need to have at a least a BSc in a relevant life sciences subject, higher qualifications are advantageous but not necessary for your application.
