Electrical Maintenance Technician (E&I)

37-45k DOE

Days based Monday to Friday - 8am – 4pm.

Up to 13% Pension scheme

This is a permanent position and will be based in Warrington.

Due to a retirement a highly successful global specialty products manufacturer are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to complete their already very successful team on days. As the Maintenance Technician your main responsibility is to minimise plant downtime as well as ensure the effectiveness of plant machinery using planned maintenance strategies & continuous improvement techniques. You will also be heavily involved in all capex and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The ability to provide rapid response to breakdown where local manufacturing team require assistance

To fault find, maintain and repair plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time

To trouble shoot and repair equipment; equipment and systems to include Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and PLC

Ability to advise and delegate to ensure work is carried out in accordance with achieving optimum running time on all kit

Undertake specialist project work to assist the manufacturing team including Engineers

Refurbish plant as required

Ensure spare parts are sourced as required in support of all the above

Enter maintenance data accurately into CBMS

Implement 5S activities in all areas

Coordinate activities of sub-contract personnel on site as and when required

In order to be effective in this position you will need to remonstrate the following skills & experience:

Time served/ apprentice trained electrical Engineer

Ideally you will have completed some further education such as ONC, HNC or equivalent in electrical, control or instrumentation.

Ideally you will have completed your 18th or 17th Edition

You will come from a manufacturing, process or industrial background

You will be an ambitious person who is keen to develop their skills and career.

Electrical Engineering – Motors, Inverters, Drives, Controls, Single/ 3Phase

Instrumentation – Temp, Pressure, PH, Flow, Controls etc
