We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join this fantastic local business where you will be fully managing projects (Bespoke Capital Equipment), from point of order, through design, procurement, manufacture, installation, and through to commissioning & handover. The company is steady successful and long established. This role is based from their head office in Banbury and is offered on a permanent, full time basis.

Overview:

·Delivery of a project involves management of tasks undertaken by a large team of people from several business departments, and therefore you will be required to motivate, lead, and push the team to ensure project delivery stays on time and budget

·Success of project management is measured in the four areas of safety, costs, delivery and completion timescales

·A significant level of initiative, independence and self-management is required

·There will be a significant amount of travel (potentially worldwide) and the role is frequently customer facing

·The Project Manager will typically manage a portfolio of 6-12 projects at one time, and therefore strong time-management, prioritisation, and organisational skills are required.

Skills/experience required:

·BEng qualification or qualified by experience - general engineering with a bias towards mechanical, structural or design engineering, at graduate level

·NEBOSH - Health & Safety management level knowledge of H&S principles and practice

·PRINCE 2 or equivalent - Competence and knowledge of a structured Project Management process

·General Management – competence and knowledge of finance, contract law, negotiation skills such as would be gained from several year’s management experience, and short courses

·Communication skills, including communications of both oral and written registers, mathematics, commensurate with a Professional Engineer or Manager

What’s in it for you:

The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week with flexible working hours. Overtime is available at the discretion of the company and will be paid hourly.

The starting salary for this role is £42,500 to £46,000, 33 days’ holiday (including 8 bank holidays) pension, healthcare, sick pay and other benefits.
