Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, the purpose of this role will be to manage the demonstration theatre in Basingstoke in providing demonstrations of our fleet to both internal and external customers and to support the Sales Training Manager with the delivery and administration of the technical training to the network. This role will interface with internal customers such as the UK NNC Network and Sales Teams and external customers and industry related organisations such as AITT, ITSSAR and RTITB.

This role will require occasional travel to Linde National Network Centre’s around the UK.

Main Duties:

* Manage the demonstration theatre area including, providing demonstrations, coordination of the demonstration calendar and ensure the trucks and area are maintained to suitable standard

* Organize and co-ordinate instructor and operator training with the Linde Fork Lift Driver Training team for all LMH (UK) departments in Basingstoke

* Provide product demonstration support for the marketing department and national accounts team as required

* Support the coordination and delivery (in terms of demonstrations) of customer visits to the Basingstoke demonstration theater

* Support specific promotional events such as product launches, exhibitions etc. in terms of demonstration and other support tasks as defined by your line manager

* Work with the Sales Training Manager in providing technical product training to the sales force

* Provide administrative support to the sales training function

Required functional competencies & Experience

* Hold forklift truck licenses for all common types of machine

* Qualified instructor license – desirable but not essential

* Substantial experience driving and using forklift trucks

* Technical knowledge of forklift trucks

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to break down and communicate technical details

* Strong organization skills

* Self-starter with self-drive and motivation

* Confident presenter and demonstrator in front of customers and internal stakeholders

* A level of commercial acumen and confidence in front of external stakeholders

* Willingness to travel occasionally as required
