Job Title: Project Engineer (Civil)
Salary: £50 - 60K + Excellent Benefits

One of clients is looking to recruit an experienced Civil Project Engineer to deliver engineering works in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. You will become part of a small that will be focusing on the delivery of contracted works, new construction and third party construction.

Responsibilities

- You will be required to work on and deliver specific projects from concept to completion on time, budget and to the highest quality.
- Work to the company`s processes including project process, procurement, health and safety, control of contractors and CDM.
- Show the ability to overcome engineering challengers and help deliver solutions for a variety of engineering applications to budgets.
- Take on the duties of principal designer in regards to the construction design & management (CDM Regulations 2015)
- Confident in working with a number of departments, customers, government agencies and planning authorities.
- Preparing cost estimates for present and future engineering works including capital expenditure budgets.
- Produce tender reports and undertake contract administration for engineering works to company policies and procedures.
- Meet with port users and potential customers to discuss any engineering matters.
- Checking and managing the development of team members to ensure that they are getting the required training they need to be able to do their job to a high standard.

Requirements:

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
- Chartered membership in Building, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction.
- Have good working knowledge of H&S and Environmental policies on engineering projects.
- Previous experience in design or carrying out of Engineering Projects
- Full and clean driving license.
- Strong IT skills and awareness.
- Must be able to travel due to having a number of different sites.
- Able to work in a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience of current AutoCAD drawing packages.
- Port experience is desirable, but not essential
