On Line People Limited are currently looking for a Construction Coordinator/Lead to work for one of our clients based in Immingham. This is a contract position for the initial period of 12 months working full time hours Monday to Friday.
Basic Function:
Accountable for the co-ordination of all planning and field execution by all disciplines and ensuring correct installation and commissioning of all works on the D201/2 Drum Replacement project.
Primary Responsibilities
* Primary construction group contact with Project Leader and engineering design & planning team. (Attending weekly update meetings, design and constructibility reviews)
* Construction Coordination Lead for Planning and Site installation works for the D201/2 Coke Drum Replacement Project. (Inclusive of pre-outage enabling works, pre-modularization works, Crane enabling works, Drum Replacement Outage works)
* Liaise with Discipline specialists (Civil Structural, Piping, E&I & Mech, Scaffold, Insulation & Painting) on project work packages to be delivered and agree, work execution plans, contract strategy, prioritise field activities to ensure effective use of contractors
* Facilitate planning reviews/workshops with Discipline Specialists, Field Supervisors and Contractors to ensure all works are planned and executed to agreed project milestones, plans are to be in sufficient detailed to allow critical path reviews and recognise constructibility issues.
* Ownership of all field work to ensure safe and correct installation and commissioning of all project scopes.
* Responsible for the implementation of refinery safety initiatives, monitor and control project safety KPIs and achieve targets
* Financial awareness of all scopes and tender awards
* Liaise with responsible person for all heavy lift and transportation on project requirements.
* Resolve field conflicts in timely manner
* Regular reviews and feedback with Construction Group Leader on project performance and requirements
Critical Skills
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction/Project Management Role within the Oil & Gas Industry
* Preferred Degree Qualified, minimum HNC or HND in applicable Engineering Disciplines
* Working knowledge of Primavera P6
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Experienced Management /Leadership of Contractor work force/Contractors
* Contract/Commercial Management
