1st Line Helpdesk Support
Our clients are a Complete Services IT company who are growing from strength to strength and have a vacancy for 1st Line Helpdesk Support.
The role will involve:
General PC knowledge providing technical support for internal business users (Windows 7/2008/2012 server, Microsoft Office).
Provide desktop hardware support and resolution.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide resolution of incidents.
Answering and logging of calls to helpdesk system.
Effectively monitor the status of incidents reported escalating to IT System Manager as necessary to ensure interruptions to service are resolved in a timely manner.
Coordinate IT business information/activity including interpretation of technical documentation.
Produce good quality documentation and written reports.
Support members of staff with requests and provide solutions to general MS office issues.
To be considered for this role you MUST have...
A level of experience in an IT desktop support role for Infrastructure and desktop systems.
Installation and upgrading of PC software on Windows 7.
Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network devices, switches, networked printers.
Approachable and comfortable dealing with people from all levels across the organisation.
Confident telephone manner and able to provide remote support.
Friendly, flexible, can-do approach.
Logical thinker with a strong ability to problem solve.
The ability to work unsupervised, under own initiative prioritising work to strict deadlines.
Attention to detail and a good team player.
Able to act with skill, due care, diligence and integrity at all times.
To be committed to the resolution of issues in demanding timescales sometimes requiring additional effort and hours.
Windows permissions and access control.
System Backup software (Veeam)
Knowledge of VMWare
Firewall setup and rules.
Windows 7, Windows 7/2008/2012 server, Microsoft Office, system patching.
Office technology systems knowledge.
