Can you set up a new procurement function?

Reed Procurement and Supply Chain are working exclusively with a South Cambridgeshire based organisation who are now implementing a brand new procurement function.

We're looking for someone who is truly engaging that can create an efficiently running procurement function to monitor cost, free up time elsewhere in the business and deliver additional value moving forward.

In this role you'll be directly responsible for a complete set up. This will include policy and process writing and associated contract management. You'll love digging through the numbers to look at your spend, work out where you can improve it and build your savings pipeline. Naturally you'll be reviewing existing contracts and looking for ways to remove risk too. Once you have the function established longer term plans include looking at a procurement consortium between other businesses locally that are buying of a similar nature.

Passionate about procurement they're looking for someone who can engage people explaining the benefits you offer, engaging them and working together collaboratively.
You'll also be setting targets for your suppliers, encouraging them to improve and help drive your savings.

You'll mainly be buying FM services so experience in this area is going to be advantageous but the key is the ability to turn a blank canvas into a procurement masterpiece.

Having personally visited this businesses site it's both stunning and unique with the role delivering the following.

28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
You have the option to work flexibly between 8-6. (37hr per week)
Discretionary annual bonus
Subsidised gym memberships
On site parking
