Access Self Storage Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of self-storage services in a large and expanding market.

We are looking to appoint an Area Manager to join our growing business! As an Area Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Company through effective and efficient delivery of sales growth, excellent customer service and high-level team management in your assigned stores. Your goal is to learn quickly, demonstrate this with the results so as to be ready for promotion to Regional Manager.

You will be reporting to Regional Manager.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Manage KPI performance.

  • To ensure sales and marketing strategies are developed and implemented.

  • To provide continuous support and guidance to the Store Managers to help them achieve their targets.

  • To review the performance in each of the assigned stores and take necessary actions to bring about improvement.

  • To ensure stores comply with all company operating, H&S and financial procedures through regular audit and inspection.

  • To assist in recruitment, coaching and development of the new and existing Store Managers.

  • Advice and guide the Store Managers in coaching, developing, leading and motivating their teams to deliver high performance.

  • Produce monthly KPI and Store Management Reports for the Regional Manager.

    An ideal candidate must have:

  • Previous experience as an Area Manager within a multi -site retail environment.

  • Exposure to the Storage Industry is desirable.

  • Previous experience managing store KPI’s such as sales targets, enquiry conversion rates and customer service.

  • Experience of leading and managing a team within a sales environment.

  • Proven working knowledge in the above duties and listed skills.

    Skills and competencies required for this role are:

  • Confident and effective communicator.

  • A natural leader who is able to coach, develop, led and motivate a team to deliver high performance.

  • A strong knowledge of the retail market with exceptional business acumen and commercial awareness.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • A high level of energy and personal drive for the attainment of business goals.

  • Honesty and discretion, for dealing with sensitive business information.
