Fife Council provides a Breakfast Café in a number of schools where the free school meals entitlement is known to be high. Mountfleurie Primary is one of these schools. Breakfast Cafes operate before the start of the school day hence the hours for the post reflect this.Requirements
As a Childcare Practitioner you will be working with children attending the primary school. You will be responsible for preparation of a simple breakfast, serve the breakfast to the children and supervise them while in the Café, then tidy up the area afterwards.Responsibilities
You should have a minimum of 3 Standard Grades at credit level 1/2, to include English and Maths or 3 Intermediate 2’s, to include Maths and English or equivalent Core Skills at SCQF level 5 OR 3 National 5s, to include English and Maths.
Previous experience can be considered as equivalent see SCQF Framework
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure ScotlandThe Individual
You will work as a member of the team, supporting the delivery of a Breakfast Café service to the pupils and parents of Moutfleurie Primary School. You will be expected to follow strict food hygiene rules and attend further training as needed.
You will have an appreciation of a childcare service and knowledge of the support and tasks undertaken by a Childcare Practitioner.
