Teaching Assistant required to work with children who have been excluded from mainstream education. This Local Alternative Provision is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with small groups of children with challenging behaviour. This role calls for a proactive and resilient Teaching assistant who is keen to break down barriers to education and can provide a high standard of support.
This PRU caters for children that have been excluded from mainstream school and require additional support within the classroom. You will be focused on providing academic support alongside managing challenging behaviour. The leadership are excellent and ensure that each and every child is given the opportunity to succeed.
- Providing 1-2-1 classroom support
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Providing academic support
- Planning and delivering breakout activities
- Ensuring that education is fun
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience working within a PRU or AP
- Have a good sense of humour and a positive approach
- Be confident managing behaviour
- Enjoy working in a challenging and rewarding setting
This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working within an Alternative Provision or challenging school setting. Located in Wolverhampton this school is accessible from Walsall, West Bromwich and Dudley.
