£65k-£75k (dep on exp) + up to 50% Bonus potential+ Benefits

My Client are an established Development Finance and Bridging Lender looking to expand their Business Development team. Having already lent over £45m, the business is experiencing rapid growth. This is an exciting time to join a successful and established business that have ambitious growth plans.

The role of the BDM is to source new business through successful delivery of residential and bridging deals to create a strong pipeline and continue to support the company’s strategic growth plan.

You will be involved in every aspect of the lifecycle of the deal, structuring, working closely with the underwriters and executing, therefore you will need to be experienced and confident in these areas. You will be focusing on facilitating development finance transactions for Borrowers with a development value from £0.5 million to £5 million.

In return my client is offering a competitive basic salary of £75k + Commission of up to 50% of salary. + Benefits.


  • Origination and execution of residential development and bridging deals to create a strong pipeline of deal flow

  • Building and developing new and existing relationships with Brokers and Developers

  • Researching new deals or enquiries to assess the suitability of the security

  • Define and execute the sales and marketing strategy across all property developers (direct) and via Brokers and partners (indirect)

  • Ability to be involved in every aspect of the lifecycle of the deal, structuring, working closely with the underwriting team and executing

  • Ongoing management of the deal by attending monthly meetings on site and manage monthly reporting

  • Recommending appropriate LTV, rate, term and interest terms

  • Reviewing of Property Valuations and Monitoring Surveyor Reports

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets as set by Head of Business Development

  • Writing deal synopsis

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of originating, structuring and monitoring residential development and bridging loan deals across the different credit cycles.

  • Experience of secured lending, bridging finance and development finance by both corporations and SPV’s

  • Good netwrok of connections in the Residential Bridging & Dev Finance industry where you can leverage relationships
  • Good understanding of mortgage and financial services market

  • Involved in loan restructuring and work out

  • Ability to work autonomously and be self -motivated

  • Track record of Business development in the Development Finance and Bridging industry

  • Ability to build new and existing relationships
