SEN Learning Support Mentor (Junior School, Chelmsford).

I am currently working with a school on an exciting new role in the Chelmsford area.
Starting in January 2019 the school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them, the position would be part-time permanent

The Role:
- Involves working as part of a team to support pupils with SEMH needs and helping to establish the new SEMH division within the school
- Working one to one or with small groups to support children
- Liaising with staff, parents/carers and professionals regarding mentoring and action plans

The School:
- Caters to students between the ages 7-11
- Provides inclusion and constructive development plans for those with SEND requirements
- Excellent facilities both for SEN students and staff
- Rated Good by Ofsted

- SEN or teaching assistance experience is essential
- An enthusiastic and committed approach to the role
- An enhanced up-to-date DBS certificate
- Understanding of safeguarding and SEN students
- Someone who values the opportunity to challenge their thinking
