Teaching Assistant required to provide support to small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students at established alternative provision. This Ofsted “Good” with outstanding features Alternative Provision are looking to add an outstanding Teaching Assistant to the team.

This Alternative Provision provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students that are no longer in mainstream education. You will be supporting small groups of children, providing additional academic and emotional support, and taking responsibility for some of the behaviour management. Working closely with teaching staff and leadership you will be given the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people who require additional support.

Job Role:
  • Working as a Teaching Assistant for Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Providing classroom-based support for the teacher
  • Inspiring children to engage in education
  • Leading on activities in the classroom

Ideally, you will:
  • Have experience working within an Alternative Provision
  • Be resilient and determined to make a difference
  • Have a good level of behaviour management
  • Have an understanding of the KS 3 & 4 curriculum
  • Understand the barriers that children face in education

This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant that has worked with challenging behaviour in the past and is looking to continue their positive work.
