Account Executive, Fintech
Our client is a London-based mover and shaker in the fintech sector with 3 respected brands offering a range of products, events and services within the financial world. Due to their professional service and innovative development (plus a great team), they have tripled their headcount in the last 3 years.
Much of their success is based on the relationships they build within the world of financial advisers, accountants and professional services firms. Your role will be to research new potential partners and call them to introduce your work. If there’s a match between their needs and one of your products or services, you’ll book a meeting to explore the ways in which you can help. In your early days, you’ll make meetings for one of the senior team and, in time, you’ll take over the client meetings as you grow in confidence. A key attraction of this role is that you’ll be working very closely with the founder of the company; this is a great chance to learn from a business leader and an inspirational mentor.
Whilst the field is open to fresh graduates, it is more likely that you’ve been working in a professional sales-focused role for a year or two. You will have experience of generating new business over the phone and have the credibility to meet senior people face-to-face too. You probably have an interest in the world of finance and it’s equally important that you love business, particularly the SME sector. You’ll be having business conversations with businesspeople and you need to know what you’re talking about! In addition, you will be:
- Polished, motivated and conscientious;
- An excellent communicator (including strong written skills);
- Positive and enthusiastic with the ability to take responsibility for making things happen.
- Willing to learn by working with smart, successful business leaders;
- A joy to work with.
