Centre for Ageing Better has an exciting opportunity to join our Programmes team as Senior Programme Manager for Homes and Communities. If you are passionate about making change happen and have strong expertise around the built environment and place making, we’d like to hear from you.

The Centre for Ageing Better is an independent charitable foundation. We believe that more people living longer represents a huge opportunity for society and we want everyone to enjoy a good later life. But changes are needed so more people are in good health, are financially secure, are socially connected, and have a sense of meaning and purpose in later life. Our new strategy sets out an ambition to do more on all these fronts.

As Senior Programme Manager, you will lead on Ageing Better’s programme on Homes and Communities, centring on the built environment aspects of home and communities including new housing developments, transport and the planning and designing of places. You will develop and manage a strategic programme of activity, taking responsibility for programme budgets, reporting and evaluation. You will engage with key programmes partners, building relationships with relevant networks and other stakeholders and representing the programme externally.

The successful candidate will have experience of developing and managing programme strategies, operational plans and budgets, stakeholder engagement and influencing senior stakeholders. You will have relevant subject matter expertise, an ability to identify opportunities for impact and translate evidence/ideas into practise. An interest in Ageing Better’s agenda is essential.

To apply please send a CV and covering letter addressing how you meet the criteria for the role. The closing date for this role is 9am on Monday 25th February with interviews to take place on Monday 4th March. Flexible working options will be supported.

Please complete the attached Equality and Diversity form and return alongside your covering letter and CV.
