Salary: £20,253 (pro rata) £16,421.52 (actual) + 3% employer pension contribution

Fixed Term until 31/3/20

Citizens Advice Cheshire East (CACE) offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. We give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem. We help with everything from money issues to problems at work, housing to consumer rights.

Universal Credit (UC) is the fastest growing advice issue for CACE and improving the support available to people making a claim is vital. We are developing a service called “Universal Support: Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and get ready for when their first payment arrives.

We are looking for an experienced, skilled adviser with excellent IT skills to support clients with making their Universal Credit claims.You’ll have particular responsibility for developing the web chat and telephone support aspects of the service, including cascading training and mentoring volunteers. The postholder will be based in our Crewe office but will also work from our other offices in Congleton and Nantwich as well as outreach venues in Cheshire East.
