Assistant Scheme Accountant
Becoming an Assistant Scheme Accountant with Employee Benefits:
An opportunity has arisen within our Scheme Finance Department for an Assistant Scheme Accountant. The role will involve being responsible for the scheme accounting on a designated portfolio of existing established medium to large pension schemes. This varied role offers excellent scope for development, including study support, and a friendly, supportive team environment.
What you will do:
-To provide a full pension scheme accounting service to clients including the preparation of year end statutory accounts, quarterly reports and accounts, and ad-hoc reports and services such as VAT and Tax Returns.
-To liaise with external and internal auditors and client's other professional advisers.
-To liaise with clients (including attending client/trustee meetings when required).
-To actively manage and monitor pension scheme cash requirements and to ensure payments are properly controlled and promptly settled.
Your experience will include:
Experience of accounts preparation is required, a practice background would be very beneficial
Good Excel skills
Commenced professional studies, ie AAT / ACCA / CIMA & keen to continue
5 GCSE's with minimum Grade C at GCSE Level Maths & English
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Proactive, enthusiastic attitude and able to work effectively in a team.
