Salary: Up to £33,700 doe (One year fixed term contract)

Client & the role
Eddison Knight are working with a client who provide innovative solutions for the financial services sector and are a household name. Our client now requires an ambitious and focused MI analyst to work in their offices in Cardiff. You will work to support finance and operations functions by providing accurate insights through MI analytics.
You will undertake:

  • Regular MI reporting including preparing and documentation on audit and compliance
  • Monitor trends and metrics and delivering in formats suitable for a variety of audiences
  • Designing of new reporting as required
  • Maintain and manage the database that manages management information to key stakeholders
  • Manage stakeholder expectations in understanding, documenting and querying any MI requests to fully understand the requirements for business continuity
  • Data preparation to maintain regular reporting activities relating to external partner reporting
  • Ensuring any changes to MI and database are documented and implemented within the parameters of standard operating change processes

Problem solving, issue resolution, technical support, procedural support, reconciliations and technical reviewing
Understands the structure and make-up of system tables and databases
Own and understand the role in context to the wider business environment.
Skills and experience

  • Knowledge and experience of:
    • Access and/or Business Objects
    • VBA and/or SQL
    • Advanced Excel
    • A good understanding of reconciliation and data analysis
    • Can collate MI, and design meaningful and clear summaries and reports
  • An IT or similar degree or relevant professional qualification

Previous experience in a developer and/or MI role and excellent numeracy, communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
