Finance Director/Finance Director Designate

With both the strengthening of the Board and the Senior Management team, our Client is looking to recruit a highly talented and capable Finance Director/Finance Director Designate. This represents an excellent opportunity to take a lead Finance role, in both the strategic, commercial and operational development of the business going forward.
In addition to Finance, this role assumes responsibility for IT and HR too.

Our Client is open on candidate background in relation to this role and would equally be interested in exploring high-calibre, experienced and hands-on Finance Directors, or would also be receptive to looking at career climbing candidates, with evidence of sound progression and success to date, currently operating at Controller level, but looking to take their first step up into a Director level position
Although longer term succession is currently under review, there might be the possibility of equity participation going forward.
Professionally qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, ideally in a fast-paced, commercial environment
Desirable experience would be in SME, growth company
Strong technical background with capability to drive change and improvement
Preference for a candidate who can evidence management of Finance, IT and Administration, or who can demonstrate capability to do so
Evidence of gaining efficiencies in reporting and processing, to enable more time for value added activities
Whilst not essential some estate management experience, together with legal and commercial property negotiations would be advantageous
Good leadership and management skills, with ability to develop teams
Excellent commercial acumen with a strong business partnering style
Ambitious, high energy, ability to work at pace without compromising high standards of delivery
Good work ethic
Evidence of success, progression and achievement throughout CV
Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
Sound organizational and planning ability
