Senior Account Manager within the Payroll and Umbrella sector.

Location: North west
Salary: £35,000 to 40,000 OTE £65,000

Role Purpose

To maintain and generate consultations and joiners from identified key accounts in line with the Sales and Marketing business plan.

To develop new relationships and business referrals from agency data and assisting the Relationship Manager with agency visits.

To provide agency customer care and support by dealing with escalated queries from the Account Manager and providing technical support as and when required.

Role Accountabilities

*Understand the market place within the Payroll/ umbrella sector and how they operates within in order to identify trends and opportunities to maximise business growth

*Keep up to date with competitor trends and provide recommendations to the Commercial Director to improve my clients offer

*Establish new relationships and increase business from existing agency contacts via telesales and agency visits

*Highlight and identify new sources of business outside the agency arena and assist the Relationship Manager to devise and implement strategies to gain business from these sources

*Be a point of contact for the Account Manager providing them with technical advice and support ensuring that the team provides excellent agency customer care

*Assist the Relationship Manager at events and seminars, participating in presentations and providing advice and support to key clients and prospective customers

*Gain commitment for the use of my client as an approved supplier and secure there inclusion on respective PSLs by arranging meetings for the Relationship Managers and participating in those meeting when appropriate

*Monitor the success of initiatives, evaluate the outcome and report to key personnel
*Manage and own a series of KPI measures
*Assist the Relationship Manager in hosting hospitality events
*Undertake training as and when required
*Any other duties deemed necessary to support the business as and when required.

Role Relationships

Working within the Business Development team, the role holder will report to the Relationship Manager.

The role holder will have extensive contact with customers, agencies, clients and industry body partner organisations including face to face relationship management.

It is also recognised that the role holder will have daily interactions with staff.

*High degree of influencing skills
*An open, honest, professional and friendly disposition
*Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with a keen eye for detail
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally using the most effective medium to suit the situation
*Excellent PC skills particularly PowerPoint
*A minimum of five years' experience in a sales or marketing environment
*Proven track record in using the telephone to set up important decision-maker and influencer meetings
*Proven successful track record in research, analysis, strategy formulation and implementation
*Proven track record of providing solutions to real business problems
*Full clean driving licence.
