Relief Chest Officer

OVERVIEW

A vacancy has arisen within the busy Relief Chest team for a Relief Chest Data Entry Operator. The Relief Chest team is responsible for providing donor advised fund services to over 4,500 Masonic units/organisations, Relief Chest holders. Timely and accurate processing of donations, gift aid tax reclaim and charitable disbursements to wider charities in England and Wales, production of statistical information and performance management reports to aid decision making.

The key responsibilities of the Relief Chest Data Entry Operator are to record and process donations received by Gift Aid Envelopes on to a donor database using an electronic data and records management system (EDRMS) efficiently resolving donor queries and filing.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in data entry or a similar role involving high volume processing and the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.

Essential

  • Ability to perform and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS office suite
  • Good numerical skills and accuracy
  • Proven experience in data entry of high volume processing

Desired

  • Experience of working in busy environment
  • Previous experience in charity sector
  • Knowledge and understanding of HMRC gift aid rules
  • Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection rules
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Familiarity with data capture software
