HOURS: FULL TIME

THE COMPANY: Our client is a large, busy, general medical practice based in Stourbridge (Dudley CCG). The practice has recently received an outstanding rating from the CQC.

THE ROLE: The Operations Manager will work as part of a team responsible for the day to day running of the Practice. Each operations manager will have specific areas of responsibility which will be in accordance with their area of expertise, qualification and interest. The range includes Office Management, Patient Services, Estates, Health and Safety and Technology and Data Quality. Each manager will be expected to appreciate the breadth of operational management within the Practice and work closely and collaboratively with colleagues.

Are you/Do you have:-

  • Educated to degree level in healthcare, business or related area or related industry experience
  • Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Leadership and / or Management Qualification
  • AMSPAR Qualification
  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Experience of managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecasting
  • Experience of working in a health care setting
  • Experience of performance management
  • Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects
  • Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development
  • NHS / Primary Care General Practice experience
  • Experience of chairing meetings, producing agendas and minutes
  • Strong IT skills (generic)
  • Strategic thinker and negotiator
  • Ability to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • EMIS user skills
  • Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
  • Ability to network and build relationships
  • Ability to develop, implement and embed policy and procedure
  • Polite and confident
  • Flexible and cooperative
