We are currently working alongside an exciting company based here in South Wales, assisting with their current search for an enthusiastic Project Manager (Delivery) to join their organisation during a fantastic period of continued growth and success.
Reporting to the company's Delivery Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the hands-on management and successful delivery of projects and solutions to customers, ensuring that they are delivered within budget, meet customer requirements and timescales whilst adhering to appropriate quality standards. The role carries Project Management responsibility for delivering the project on time, within budget and meeting the standards of the company but no direct Line Management is required.
The role includes direct interaction with the technical teams with a view to ensuring projects are fully controlled against time given and that the product reaches their clients "fit for purpose", easy to use and fully up to standard. The role also includes identifying work that is required from discussions with clients on-site and working with the Delivery Manager to ensure planning and scheduling of work is efficient to maximise successful delivery for the client.
The primary areas of focus for the role are:
*Project Management of complex web-based projects assigned by the Delivery Manager.
*Assessing and developing business requirements with clients and internally.
*Delivery services such as training and ensuring quality control of the product, as well as assisting clients to ensure a smooth delivery.
*Ensure projects are delivered in a structured, well communicated and timely manner.
To prove successful within this fantastic new opportunity, we anticipate that the successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*prior IT experience implementing complex web-based or IT projects to large-scale clients.
*experience with products such as ATG, Microsoft Commerce, ColdFusion would be beneficial.
*experience of gathering business needs and creating workable solutions.
*experience in business process and / or technology implementation.
*prior experience in working with organisational change management / leadership and process change management would be helpful.
*hands-on experience with Agile best practices and methods would be advantageous.
*experience with delivering web-based capabilities by applying system and delivery lifecycle methods and approaches.
*experience and understanding of development technologies such as web services, ASP.NET, Ajax, XML/XSLT, HTML and CSS.
*use of Source Control (CVS or Subversion) would be beneficial.
*experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*ability to work independently and excellent problem solving skills are a must.
*proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery.
*must be a good communicator, with strong written and oral skills.
*must perform well under pressure and have a calming influence over other team members.
