Maintenance Team Leader (Electrical)


£34,000 to £38,000 Circa DOE + 20 Days Holiday (increasing with service) + Bank Holidays + Contributory Pension Up to 6% + Life Assurance 3x Salary + Sick Pay Scheme + Progression Opportunities + Development Opportunities

Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (Some Flexibility required)

The successful candidate will be from ANY manufacturing background or ex forces, with the Electrical competency to work on the kit listed below. Although those from heavy industrial would be at an advantage, as well as those with any previous leadership experience, a served apprenticeship or an HNC/HND would be beneficial.

This role will require the successful, candidate to oversee and manage the maintenance team, this will include being part of discipline processes, hiring and training. This includes liaising with the planning team, supervising, improving preventative maintenance procedures, preparing bills of materials, organising labour and to be hands on. There will be periods of project installation and improvement work, with upcoming investments in the production facilities. Electrically you will be working on AC/DC Motors, PLC Controls, Drives, Single Phase and 3 phase electrics. There will be a split of 50% reactive maintenance and 50% pre planned, although there is a current focus to aim for a more pre planned maintenance.

The company are going through a period of national growth as well as individual site growth, with significant investments being made, £4 million recently and a further £2+million in the new year on the production facilities. The Role:

*Working on AC/DC Motors, Drives, PLC’s, Single and 3 Phase electrics.
*Project work when required such as installations and improvements.
*Managing the maintenance team on shift.
*Organised planning and labour, including contractors.
*Preparing bill list of materials and costing of work required.

*Implementing maintenance programs to improve PPM.

The Candidate:

*From ANY Manufacturing maintenance background, those from heavy industrial would be at an advantage.
*Competency on the equipment listed, although some PLC knowledge/experience is required
*Enthusiastic attitude to improvement work and to motivate others.
*Previous leadership experience is Advantageous.
*Those with a served apprenticeship or HNC/HND would be highly beneficial.
