Your new company
An established Property business based in the West End of London are growing their finance function after securing several new contracts for projects across London and the UK.
Your new role
The service charge accountant role will be based in Central London and will be one of the key members of the Finance Team of 8 - reporting to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring all documents such as invoices, cash expenses, corporate card items are correctly coded, authorised, processes, posted accurately; supplier payments; liaising with various senior members of staff and various departments both in the UK and abroad; carrying out all Month End Reports and Reconciliations; Group VAT returns and relevant accounting; Ad -hoc projects as requested by the Finance Manager. You will also be tasked with completing the service charge for multiple properties.
What you'll need to succeed
For the service charge accountant vacancy, having studied ACCA/CIMA/ACA to part qualified level would be beneficial. Solid knowledge in basic accounting (e.g. double entry) is mandatory and it would be beneficial to have good knowledge of UK accounting procedures. Experience in using Qube or Tramps software is vital and you will be Excel literate. You will possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic & busy office environment being a part of a team. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise and effective time management. You'd describe yourself as a 'hands on' and meticulous person with attention to detail and accuracy.
