Director of Marketing
Due to phenomenal success, our client is increasing their marketing team by 11 people, and at the top of the pile is a Director of Marketing position.
This company is a massive success story. A stalwart of the Nottingham scene, they have re-invented themselves as an organisation with the development of a series of well-respected professional creative apps which have won huge accolades within the design industry with 5-star reviews from around the world. With the launch of the final product within the series, they are now looking for a Director of Marketing to help them further accelerate the adoption of their apps around the world. You will manage a team of 6 (3 to be recruited, and you will be involved with this process) and the main duties will include creating innovative marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional platforms, which will include PR, social, exhibitions and events, email, web, in-app promotion, and sponsorships. Additionally, you will develop the strategy to greatly expand their awareness in corporate and education markets as well as increasing their reach in foreign markets through better-localised content, marketing plans and, if required, working with local marketing agencies. You'll also work closely with important partners such as Microsoft and Apple to try to align any marketing or promotional activities. It's safe to say this company has invested a huge amount in developing their working space, and it would genuinely not be out of place in Silicon Valley, offering some of the nicest environments we've had the privilege to visit.
What we're looking for
We're looking for candidates with at least 10 years' experience within marketing roles, with 5 or more being at a senior level. It would be a real advantage to have had experience within the world of apps or software, but you're going to need to be passionate about the creative industry as a whole. Additionally, you'll be experienced within consumer, education and business marketing and will have strong leadership skills. Despite their huge success, this company still has a small company culture and they really need people who are willing to get stuck in with what's required whether that's in your job description or not. Any experience of international marketing would also be an advantage.

With office space that is as focussed on peace and quiet and chill-out time as it is for hard work and a high level of creativity and plenty of free parking, this is definitely an opportunity not to be missed.
