A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an experienced level 2 Technical Telecoms / VOiP Support Engineer to join a national MSP. UC / Unified Communications Level 2 Support Role.

A permanent opportunity based in the Nelson offices. Would also be open to a candidate who would be based in the Horsham area.

MITEL experience is essential to this role. MCD / MY Voice / MCA / MEAS Qualification. 2 years plus experience in this environment.

The successful candidate would be working on site in a fast paced environment on a variety of small, medium and large enterprise scale solutions covering support, technical validation, software lifecycle management while providing T2 support and effective escalation to T3 where required.

Responsibilities
*Fault diagnostics and remote rectification of customer's faults within contracted SLA's.
*Management of the technical job queues to ensure jobs are being picked up and progressed.
*Provide technical support to field engineers.
*Work closely with T3 engineers to feedback any technical issues that need technical bulletins creating or high level investigation.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
*Strong background In Telecommunications and VoIP
*Mitel MCD/ MiVoice Business knowledge and accreditation preferable.
*Specialisation of the Mitel product portfolio and associated applications.
*Basic knowledge of IP networking, including IP Addressing, Routing, DHCP and voice trunking including SIP and using Wireshark would be an advantage.
*Knowledge and experience of virtualised environment's preferred. Working with ISS or Virtual environments to deliver and support MCD as per the customer/solution requirements.
*Competency with wired and wireless data networks is an expectation to deploy, support and trouble shoot layer 2/layer 3 network switches running VLAN supporting Voice applications.
*Possess the communication skills, commercial awareness and proactive problem solving approach to effectively liaise with customers, ISP, Telco and hardware/software Vendors (i.e. Mitel) to successfully commission or resolve issues.
*Knowledge of VMWare environments

Mitel
* Specialisation of the Mitel product portfolio preferable. Mitel MCD/ MiVoice/Mx-One/ knowledge and accreditation.
* Mitel application working knowledge and experience Cisco
* Configuration and maintenance experience of Cisco CUCM, Cisco Spark, Cisco Webex, Unity, CUAC, UCCX and IM&P.
* Knowledge of Cisco UCCE, Expressway and CUBE
* Configuration and maintenance experience of Cisco UCS servers.
* CCNA collaboration or CCNA voice is mandatory, with the personal drive to progress to CCNP level.

Microsoft
* Microsoft SfB/Lync support
* Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SQL Server
* SfB/Lync certified/supported Gateways, IP-PBXs and SBCs
