Category Manager - 12 month FTC
12-month Fixed-Term-Contract Category Manager role with a Global Insurance Firm based in Central London
Your new company
You will join a global Insurance company based in Central London who specialise in property, casualty and personal accident insurance. They own over £100bn in assets and have a global footprint in over 50 countries with around 30,000 employees worldwide.
Your new role
This is a 12-month Fixed-Term-Contract reporting to the Head of Procurement where you will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement across a European remit, focusing on indirect categories. This is a generalist role, with a focus on Facilities Management, Professional Services, HR and Marketing.
You will be required to build strong stakeholder relationships across the business so that you are in a strong position to assist them as requirements arise. You will be responsible for category management reviews, vendor management and assisting with category plans to deliver commercial advantage for the business across EMEA.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a good understanding of the end-to-end procurement cycle with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Specific category experience is not required but you will need to have managed indirect categories in previous roles. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to negotiate contracts, taking into account SLAs, KPIs and T&Cs.
