An exellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Procurement for my award winning FMCG client based at their Head Office in North Cheshire

About the Head of Procurement role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is to lead the Procurement function into being a world class operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the procurement strategies to maximise purchasing power ensuring a best in class procurement function
  • Help recruit, lead and develop a small but growing procurement team
    Develop and implement the Procurement strategy to ensure world class processes are in place and are effective
    Deliver significant ongoing business benefits from the key commodity annual expenditure

Skills/Experience required:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
    Minimum 5 years experience of leading a Procurment function within the FMCG environment
    Chartered membership of a recognised professional body such as MCIPS
  • Able to cope with multiple challenges simultaneously as the function develops
    Highly self-motivated with the skills and tenacity required to motivate others toward the same goals
