Cover teacher roles are offered on a flexible, temporary basis to suit your weekly requirements and are based within the English, Maths and Sciences classes specifically, with possibilities of other disciplines.
Your new school
This through school opened in September 2015 starting with Reception and year 7, they have continuously expanded and now have up to year 10. The building is immaculate and includes brand new facilities such as an astro-turf sports pitch, 4 court sports hall, 6 further ICT suites, a recording studio, 19 more classrooms, 2 Art/DT rooms, a food room, RM room, dance studio, fitness suite and a performance/ school hall.
Your new Role
In your role as a day to day supply teacher you will be expected to deliver pre-planned work to groups of up to 30 students across KS2 - KS5. We welcome teachers from all specialisms to apply as you may be covering a range of subjects in this role. You will need to be prepared to cover across the curriculum and have an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude and be able to work well from your own guidance. In your new role as a long term teacher you will be expected to mark, plan and prepare all of your lessons. You will be expected to teach your specialism on a longer term basis within a key stage that best suits your ability and most likely will be expected to commit on a term by term basis. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold UK QTS or Equivalent. You will be an experienced teacher that is passionate about student progress and is committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent teaching role and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
