Job Title: Service Transition Manager

Location: Salisbury

Salary: To 50,000.00

Role Overview

This is a new Delivered Service / Target Operating Model and the Service Transition Management side is expanding to include management of:

· Service Transition Planning

· Change and Release Management

· Software Configuration and Asset Management

Our new Service Transition Manager will spend more time managing these areas, and, due to a significant increased project budget for 2019 on this large, complex IT site, will result in an increase in the volume of work transitioning projects into Live Service. You will work with Project Teams, Service Design and Delivered Service, to first understand and then transition projects and demands into Live Service. The main activities will be split between Transition Planning and Service Acceptance. A unique opportunity to bring your skills and experience to the table and build this area. Youshould preferably hold advanced Government clearance for this role or be eligible for clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and manage the Service Transition Plan

  • Facilitation of any recruitment

  • Work with the Test Team to identify, document and test Operational Acceptance Testing

  • Identification, planning and implementation of Technical training / knowledge Transfer/Handover

  • Identification and facilitation of Service Tool changes (eg. Service Desk)

  • Produce and manage the acceptance plan

  • Confirm the project has met Service Delivery and Operations acceptance criteria in relation to People, Processes and Technology prior to release into the production environment

  • Identification of Service Design/Transition Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies and their impact upon on-going support

  • Co-ordinate formal acceptance of projects/demands into service through the Change Authorisation Board (CAB)

  • Produce and agree Acceptance Criteria for Early Life Support and Full Support

  • Conduct and record formal Support Readiness Reviews
