WR Fundraising Recruitment have a unique opportunity to join a charity breaking new ground in animal welfare and research. With a diverse and exciting role as part of a small team, this is the ideal opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience of charitable operations. The successful candidate will be working across all client and donor facing elements of the charity, from events and fundraising to digital communications.

As this charity continues to grow, there will be opportunities to develop and progress with it. You will be having a direct impact on developing donor relations at all stages of the supporter journey. With a small but ambitious team you’ll have the opportunity to get immersed in all aspects of the role and the wider organisational work and make a real impact.

Fundraising and Communications Coordinator

Full Time Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Guildford, Surrey

Up to £21000 p.a. dependent on skills and experience

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

  • Experienced as either an employee or volunteer within the charity sector - ideally within health, medical, or animal welfare
  • Confident and highly organised, willing and able to learn quickly
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal, across a range of stakeholders
  • Excited to get involved with all aspects of the charity’s work
  • Skilled in basics of fundraising and marketing, particularly using digital channels and social media
  • Familiar with a range of IT and software including Excel and Word
  • Passionate about making a difference to the world, and ready to go the extra to make that happen

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as first point of contact for the charity’s supporters, providing guidance, stewardship and recording all donor communications
  • Supporting the wider team with projects, events, and activities
  • Developing communications across print and digital channels, including newsletters and social media
  • Attend and lead on events across the UK to promote the work of the charity
  • Supporting the work of the volunteers
  • Recording and acknowledging supporter donations
  • Oversee the communications for the regular giving scheme
