MUST BE A CAR OWNER
We are seeking passionate and outgoing individuals to work as fundraisers for Wood Green - The Animals Charity. You will approach members of the general public in a number of different venues, such as shopping centres, businesses, events and garden centres around your local area. Working with your colleagues, you will raise awareness about the charity’s mission and recruit new regular donors for Wood Green. Your goal is to raise the charity’s profile and establish new Direct Debit donations from donors who will become as passionate about Wood Green as you are.
We currently have both full-time and part-time vacancies, offering 6-8 hour shifts throughout the week - Saturday and Sunday shifts also available. You shall also be paid your hourly rate for the time you spend driving to and from your pre-booked fundraising site, as well as 25p per mile driven on Charity business as expenses.
You must be a car owner and hold a full valid UK driving licence as this role will involve regular travel (travel time is paid) to and from different venues throughout your local area. You must be prepared to car share with colleagues, carry a small promotional stand and equipment in your car and attend regular team meetings. You will also need business insurance cover (which can normally be added to your standard cover at a very small cost) and be the main policy holder on your insurance.
This role is the ideal next step for individuals who have previously enjoyed success in field sales, telesales, promotions, door-to-door sales and, of course, fundraising. If you’re looking to move over from a fast-paced sales role and work in an exceptionally rewarding field, this could be the right role for you. If your background is in customer service, hospitality, retail or other public-facing roles, please do not hesitate to apply. Previous experience is not essential and we welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds, as the role offers full training and managerial support.
