Our client a service provider organisation in the Skelmersdale area are looking for a Credit Controller / Accounts Clerk to join their finance team on a temporary basis, initially for a 3 month period with the good potential of this being extended. They would consider flexible working hours and your main responsibilities would be as follows:

  • Managing a ledger of customers consisting of high value accounts
  • Recording and managing customer queries and disputed invoices - liaising with customers to ensure invoices are paid within agreed payment terms and chasing outstanding debt where necessary
  • Finding appropriate solutions to reduce the number of re-occurring issues
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key customers
  • Bank reconciliations & sales ledger responsibility

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working as a credit controller or general accounts experience with exposure to credit control
  • Ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • Excel knowledge would be beneficial and the ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
