Your New Job
As the Accounts Assistant, you will chiefly be assisting in the production of all invoices, ensuring they are accurately calculated and produced in a timely and effective manner, whilst ensuring that budget information is captured correctly. However, you’ll also have sales ledger, payroll and credit control responsibilities. You will be reconciling multiple bank accounts as well as ensuring that accruals and pre-payments are processed on time. You shall also undertake income analysis as required, provide advice to colleagues and customers, carry out regular exception reports to highlight any data inconsistencies and respond to customer queries where invoices have been generated. You will provide month and year-end reports and more general assistance to the Senior Accounts Assistant as required. You shall be dealing with quarterly VAT returns, as well as handling any journal entries.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
Our Client is looking for a knowledgeable Accounts Assistant with a proven track record of processing a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis. Ideally you’ll have at least 2 years’ experience dealing with sales ledger, payroll and credit control duties and be someone who relishes working in a fast paced and energetic environment. You’re an excellent problem solver with the ability to think on your feet. Your ability to deliver customer service will be second to none and you’ll possess an excellent telephone manner. As a successful applicant you will have a working knowledge of both SAP and Sage.
