'Credit control' is the system used by a business to make certain that it gives credit only to customers who are able to pay, and that customers pay on time.
Our thriving business which has traded for more that 60 years has a solid and loyal customer base. Our team are very important to us and this critical function of Credit Control to effectively ensure that sales are billed accurately and on time and that customer queries are resolved quickly and efficiently. A positive and upbeat nature would be a great fit for our team. Experience in supporting a finance team previously would be an advantage and with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in reconciling difficult customer accounts and dealing with high volume work desirable.
We need someone enthusiastic, with the ability to challenge a situation or procedure when appropriate and make recommendations for improvements within the department. Your responsibilities within the role will include the maintenance of sales ledger accounts, processing credit notes, enforcing payment terms by chasing overdue accounts; ensuring debtors days are kept to a minimum. Credit checking and setting up new accounts to name just a few.
